Red buses have been part of London life for more than a century, but it was the classic Routemaster — with its distinctive shape, bright red body and famous open rear platform — that became recognised around the world.
My London Bus takes its inspiration from that much-loved design. Its long profile, rows of windows and unmistakable red finish give it plenty of character even when the light is off. As evening falls, switch it on and warm light begins to glow through the windows, transforming it into an atmospheric feature with warmth, character and a little British charm.
The wooden structure is precision laser-cut, assembled and hand-finished by me in Suffolk, England, with each Bus made in small batches rather than mass-produced.
Inside, a warm white 3000K LED light illuminates the windows. The light is dimmable, allowing you to adjust it from a subtle background glow to something brighter depending on the atmosphere you want to create.
It is USB powered and supplied with a 1.5 metre lead, providing useful flexibility when positioning it on a shelf, sideboard or desk. A USB mains adapter is not included.
