Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 23rd June 2026
1. Who we are and how to contact us
This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains how we collect and use your personal information when you visit or buy from this website. We are the "data controller" responsible for your personal information.
• Company: Fast Forward Projects Limited, trading as Woodpecker Gifts • Company registration number: 4853846 • Registered office: 5 Batcheldor Gardens, Bromham, Beds, MK43 8SP, United Kingdom • ICO registration number: ZB130535 • Contact for privacy queries: john@woodpeckergifts.co.uk
2. The lawful bases we rely on
Under UK data protection law we must have a "lawful basis" for using your personal information. Depending on what you do on this website, we rely on the following:
• Contract: to process your orders, manage your account, and send you order-related emails. • Legal obligation: to keep records of sales and transactions for tax and accounting purposes. • Legitimate interests: to run and secure this website, prevent fraud, and understand and improve how the site is used. • Consent: for analytics and performance cookies and for marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
3. Information we collect and how we use it
Site analytics
This website collects information to power our site analytics, including information about your browser, network and device; the web pages you visited before coming here; and your IP address. It may also include details of how you use this site, such as clicks, internal links, pages visited, scrolling, searches and timestamps. We provide this information to Squarespace, our website analytics provider, to understand site traffic and activity.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses cookies — small files stored on your device. Necessary cookies are always used so the site works and stays secure. Analytics and performance cookies are used only when you accept them via our cookie banner. The full list of cookies we use is set out in Section 13 below.
When you place an order (physical products)
When you buy something on this website, we collect the personal information we need to fulfil your order. This may include your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and details relating to your purchase — for example, your chosen bus route number, clock time, or other personalisation text.
We provide this information to Squarespace, our online store hosting provider, so they can provide website services to us. We also share it with Evri so we can deliver your order; you can read their privacy policy at https://www.evri.com/privacy-policy. As you go through checkout, this site may auto-complete your shipping and billing address by sharing what you type with the Google Places API and returning suggestions, to improve your checkout experience.
Payments
We take payment using PayPal. If you choose to pay with PayPal, PayPal collects and processes your payment information directly under its own privacy policy (paypal.com). PayPal is a separate provider; we do not use Squarespace Payments or Stripe.
Customer accounts
If you create a customer account, we collect personal information to improve your checkout experience and our customer service. This may include your name, billing and shipping address(es), email address, phone number, and details about your orders (for example, your chosen personalisation). We provide this to Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so they can provide website services to us and help us manage our relationship with you.
Abandoned cart reminders
You may receive an automated email within 24 hours of leaving items in your cart, if you entered your email at checkout (or were logged in), added an in-stock product, and then left without completing your purchase. You can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the email.
When you contact us through a form
When you submit information through a form on this website (for example, our Contact page), we collect the information requested so we can respond to and manage your enquiry. We provide this to Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so they can provide website services to us.
Marketing emails
We may send you marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time using the link at the bottom of the email. We provide your contact information to Squarespace, our email marketing provider, so they can send these emails on our behalf.
Service and account emails
We may email you about your order or account activity — for example, to confirm a new account, a password reset, a purchase, or that your order has shipped. As these relate to your order or account, it isn't possible to unsubscribe from them. We provide your contact information to Squarespace so they can send these emails on our behalf.
Fonts
This website serves and renders fonts using Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. To display the site correctly, these providers may receive information about your browser, network or device; information about this site and the page you're viewing; and your IP address.
Website hosting
This website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace collects personal information when you visit, including information about your browser, network and device; pages you viewed before and during your visit; and your IP address. Squarespace needs this data to run the website and to protect and improve its platform and services, as described in its Privacy Policy.
4. Who we share your information with
We share personal information only with the providers described above — our website host and store provider (Squarespace), our payment provider (PayPal), our shipping provider (Evri), and our font providers (Google and Adobe) — and only so they can provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal information.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers — including Squarespace, PayPal and Google — are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where your personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards to keep it protected, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or Addendum), Standard Contractual Clauses, or a relevant UK adequacy "data bridge".
6. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above:
• Order and transaction records: kept for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements. • Customer account information: kept while your account is active, and for 12 months after it is closed. • Marketing contact details: kept until you unsubscribe. • Enquiries via our contact form: kept for 12 months from the date of submission. • Analytics information: kept in line with Squarespace's retention settings.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access your personal information; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to how we use it; ask us to transfer it (data portability); and, where we rely on consent, withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at john@woodpeckergifts.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
8. How to complain
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
• Website: ico.org.uk • Helpline: 0303 123 1113 • Post: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF
9. Automated processing
Our payment provider, PayPal, carries out automated checks to help detect and prevent fraud. If you have any questions about automated processing, please contact us.
10. Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, and we use established providers (such as Squarespace and PayPal) that maintain their own security measures. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately if a problem arises.
11. Children's privacy
Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy & Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
